Hi XXXX,
It can happen sometime due to hormonal changes. If no period in 3 more days, go to gynecologist for check up.

Take care.

Brief Answer:
it means engorgement of uterus, cause is delayed menses

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

Thanks for follow up question.

As pregnancy tests are negative other factors responsible for delayed menses we should consider. These includes hormonal imbalance, stress, physical illness or use of contraceptive pills.
Before this all periods were regular then chances are there that uterus is engorged due to premenstrual uterine mass. This bulky uterus is likely pressing other abdominal/pelvic organs and vessels. This in turn responsible for lower back pain and both sides lower abdomen pain.

Due to this possibility of constipation is there. To relieve such discomfort I would recommend to take over the counter medicine containing Mefenamic Acid 250 mg and Dicyclomine Hydrochloride 10 mg.Take high fiber diet and use one glass of warm water after waking up in the morning to relive constipation if it is there.

These symptoms suggest that your menses should start soon. However if menses does not start in a day or two, please consult gynecologist for check up. Ultrasound investigation may be needed.

Hope I have answered your query, I will be happy to help further.

Regards & Take care.
