ultrasound is safe for baby
Detailed Answer:
Hello dear, thanks for the information.I understand your concern.
In my opinion more number of ultrasounds does not harm the baby. And moreover only required number of ultrasounds are done to know the well being of fetus. So relax.
Usually the fetal heart beat is seen at 7 weeks in transvaginal ultrasound and around 8 weeks in transabdominal ultrasound. This period may vary slightly.
So as the heartbeat is not seen initially usually a repeat ultrasound is advised after 2 weeks as in your case.
Dont worry. You can darely go for a scan.
Metformin is also a very good medicine and it helps in prevention of miscarriage in PCOD.So discuss regarding that with your doctor.
Continue folate and progesterone supplements.
Avoid stress and hope for the best.During pregnancy you should keep stress aside as it might increase the steroid levels and have
negative effects on growing fetus.
Hope this satisfies your query.
Feel free to discuss further.
Best regards...Dr.Srilatha
