Question : Hello Doctor, My last period date was 31st XXXXXXX And my cycle for last few months was of 21(min) to 24(max) days. i have been trying for conceiving in this month. My periods did not start till now. Though very little brown color thread like spotting was observed on 25th and 30th. I did home pregnancy test twice on 26th as well as today. but it was totally negative. I am afraid of ectopic pregnancy. though i do not feel any cramps. please suggest what might be cause and what to do now.

i was having regular periods before and never missed any period. though in the last period flow was not good enough for first three days but it was good on 4th, 5th, 6th day.
I never had period delayed more than 27 days. My age is 33 and height 5 '1. weight: 63.
This is my second pregnancy but first lasted just for 3 months. I had omphalocoel problem so had to terminate it in May 2015. since than i was having 21 days cycle. but it was regular. its been 8 months now and i had started planning again now. I am taking folic acid for last 4 months and Bicasul for 1 month.

As below

Okay.
Wait for a few days, you might get a proper period.
Also, sometimes, the period might be replaced by just brown spotting sometimes.
This maybe due to mild hormonal imbalance, which often happens.
Causes include - stress, anxiety, weight gain, late nights, travelling, etc.
You need to lose a bit of weight also.
You can get a pelvic ultrasound scan done to rule out the cause of spotting.
That will rule out the possibility of ectopic pregnancy also.
Take care.
