Thanks for writing in to us.

I have read through your query in detail.
1. ESR is erythrocyte sedimentation rate and is a test that indicates inflammatory activity in a person. If it is high then there might be a disease process in that person. It only tells that a disease is there but will not say what disease it is.

2. The normal range is 0-22 mm/hr for men and 0-29 mm/hr for women at end of first hour.

3. Having a high ESR of 94 requires to evaluated in detail for the symptoms and confirmation of disease. ESR will be reduced by treating the condition that is causing it to be high.

4. As you are having MS (multiple sclerosis) involving the brain, it is possible that your ESR is raised due to this condition.

5. Motrin and tylenol might help reduce your headaches but your MS requires attention and it will help to consult your neurologist and get investigations like MRI scan repeated and your MS reviewed.
