default
Posted on Fri, 24 Apr 2015
Question: Hello for a long time now after I eat and for hours later I have a fullness under my diaphragm. It sometimes is accompanied by burping and I do have GERD as well. I also have increased PVC's during these times and feel difference in pressure like it drops. I do suffer from panic disorder and also had a cardiac ablation for SVT about 5 years ago. Don't know if any of this is related. Have a very slow digestive tract as well. Get constipated fairly easy. The fullness under the diaphragm can last for hours up to 8 sometimes. Esp after a heavy meal. Any ideas?

Brief Answer:
indigestion.

Detailed Answer:
Hello.

Welcome to Healthcare Magic.

I read carefully your query.

It seems that your symptoms are related to indigestion. It is not related with PVCs .
You can manage these symptoms with some lifestyle and diet changes.
-You should avoid fatty, processed foods.Avoid spicy and acidic foods.
-Eat small frequent meals instead of 3 major ones.Drink plenty of water and exercise regularly.
-An OTC antiacid
-Active charcoal that can absorb the gas present in your gastrointestinal tract.

If the symptoms doesn't seem to improve ,you may need to consult your physician ,that can prescribe you stronger medications to ease these symptoms like an PPI drug (Omeprazole ) and Metoclopramide (Reglan) to increase the motility of GI tract.

Hope it helps.
Let me know if you need further help.

Kind regards,
Dr.Rovena Murati
