Question : I am suffering with very excessive flatulence. Consulted many doctors and taken many medicines. Most of the GI medicines are not working for me. But some anti depressants are giving 50 to 60 percent relief. Not sure which medicines to continue.. and which specialist to consult...
Medicines worked for me
clonazepam
Dosulepin
Mirtazapine. Also if I am in right medicine, please advise on dosage levels.

I can understand your concern. Excessive flatulence occurs mostly due to gastrointestinal problems. But some times in some individuals due to irritable bowel such symptoms might occur.

You are responding to Mirtazapine, Dosulepin and Clonazepam and most likely these drugs are controlling your anxiety and irritable bowel symptoms and this is the reason of your improvement.

Try to avoid using Clonazepam regularly because the drug might cause dependence. Mirtazapine helps in controlling symptoms in doses of 7.5-15 mg doses. Dosulepin in 75-150 mg doses is optimal for your symptoms.
