Suggest Treatment For Female Orgasmic Disorder

Inconclusive data
Detailed Answer:
Hello XXXXXXX
Thanks for using healthcaremagic.
There is inconclusive data about treatment of female orgasmic disorder. It has been said that effectiveness of psychoanalytically or psychodynamically oriented therapies in attaining orgasmic response is inconclusive. One meta-analysis, however, found good evidence for benefit in Female orgasmic disorder.
There is assumption that Cognitive Behavior Therapy based interventions can increase orgasmic ability and satisfaction by reducing sex-associated anxiety and cognitive distortions.
Other than this another kind of psychotherapy (Systematic desensitization) have shown decreases in sexual anxiety and occasional increases in the frequency of sexual intercourse and sexual satisfaction.
At present, there is no medication that has been approved specifically by the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) for the treatment of primary Orgasmic Disorder.
In case of secondary orgasmic disorder various kind of medicines are available and they show good response once you withdraw the offending agent. For this indication commonly used medicines are anti depressant, phosphodiesterase inhibitors and apomorphine.

Dear XXXXXXX
Welcome back to healthcaremagic.
The primary and secondary orgasmic disorder is differentiated on the basis of history.
The primary orgasmic disorder is defined by that the disturbance has been present since the individual became sexually active.
And the secondary or acquired orgasmic disorder is defined by presence of disturbance after a period of relatively normal sexual function.

It depends on the cause
Detailed Answer:
Dear XXXXXXX
Thanks for reverting back to me.
As I said earlier the secondary orgasmic disorder is acquired which mean the problem starts after a normal period.
The causes of secondary orgasmic disorder are as follows
1.Emotional trauma or sexual or physical abuse
2. Medications and surgery can contribute to FOD- Excessive amounts of alcohol, drugs that reduce blood pressure, the SSRI class of antidepressants and anti anxiety drugs like xanax can impede or delay ejaculation.
3. Inadequate Sex
4. Pelvic floor prolapse
5. Development of psychiatric disorder like anxiety or depression
Once you can identify the cause treatment is directed toward correcting the cause.
The suggested therapies for orgasmic disorder are
1. Changing medication- if you are taking any anti depressant or antianxiety medication talk to your doctor to change medication
2. Kegel exercise
3. Proper communication with your partner
I hope one or another of these strategies will be helpful for you.
Thanks and regards
