Question: hi team
my 10 year old daughter is suffering from high temperature from last 4 days .as per consulted doctor she has throat infection and he has given nanogestic syrup and zedocef tablet for throat infection. but there is no relief and temp remains high even after medicine. we are giving medicine in every six hours as high fever is there. fever is as high as 104.3.

Throat swabs need to be taken to sort out the organism, other antibiotics may be considered. warm comforting beverages like herbal tea mixed with honey, salt water gargles , boiled eggs, ibuprofen syrup and adequate antibiotic dosage. I would suggest considering cefixime antibiotic or amoxicillin or azithromycin. These work better.
