Suggest Treatment For Fever And Vomiting

Question: My 10 year old son has a fever(~100) since last night . He also vomitted once and has complained of slight stomach ache .He does not feel like eating food .

Fever with vomiting and stomach ache is most likely due to gastritis with viral infection.
Giving acid reducing agent like lansoprazole will help.Give paracetamol for fever.
During illness appetite gets decreased, I won't get worried if child is passing urine. Just try to give frequent small feeds with fluids.
If there is cramping pain in abdomen you may need to give some antispasmodic also, like Drotaverin/Dicyclomine.
Dose of Lansoprazole will be 15 mg once a day for this age. For this age 40 mg of Drotaverin is needed. It can be given two to three times a day depending on the symptom.
If fever increases, there is repeated vomiting, child is getting lethargic or you are noticing any other problem please get him evaluated by a pediatrician.
