Suggest Treatment For Fever, Dizziness And Excessive Sweating
Question: hello doc... i am a 22yrs old student....since 3 days i am having slight fever, dizziness, sweating and motions but the motions are not frequent nd whenevr its coming it is in liquid form only....i took one tab zenflox-oz for stomach pain by consulting my personal doctor...also took combiflame for fever nd aciloc for acidity.........but now after 3 days m still having slight fever . sweating and same motions...since yesterday i have gone to toilet for 3-4 times only

Thank you for your query. I can understand your concerns.
A combination of mild fever,sweating,dizziness and loose motions goes more in favor of viral enteritis.
You are already taking a combination of 4-fluoroquinolone antibiotic(Ofloxacin ) and anti-protozoal drug of the class of imidazole (Ornidazole ) empirically.
You can add probiotic XXXXXXX preparations containing lactobacillus and or Saccharomyces boulardii.
You should undergo also complete blood count to see if there is any polymorpho-nuclear lucocytosis which will favor bacterial enteriris e.g infection with Nontyphoidal Salmonellosis (NTS) or Shigellosis.
Since Ofloxacin has only shown some partial improvement, addition of a course of Azithromycin 1–1.5 g Once a day for 5 days PO remains the second line therapy.
