Question : Hello Doctor, My daughter born on 15/10/2013 is suffering for fever, cold & cough. Our doctor suggested us Tacimol & T-Minic day before yesterday. Temperature is normal and cold already gone. However, cough has increased - we again checked with our doctor, he suggested T-Minic only. Cough has increased and she is unable to sleep at all - Can you suggest us something Thanks XXXX

Brief Answer: Will settle soon Detailed Answer: HI Thanks for writing to healthcare magic. Cough and cold is usually viral. Usually antibiotics are not needed unless there is worsening or persistent fever. In your baby, cold and fever are gone. Usually when viral cold ends there will be cough for few days There is no need to worry as your doctor has already examined and prescribed the needed medicines ( tminic is sufficient ) Try some pediatric cough formula like tixylix 1.5ml thrice a day which is usually given to control coughing.
