Suggest Treatment For Fibula Fracture

Question: I have a type C fibula fracture. I was in a boot with no weight bearing for 2 weeks when my doc told me i could travel for work. I was on travel for my job when the break occurred. It has now been 4 weeks since the fracture. I quit using my crutches last week but continue to use the boot to walk. I cant get back to see the original doc and I dont have a doc here yet. Pain has become minimal. I'm wondering how long I should continue using the walking boot. How long does it normally take to get a reply?
Brief Answer:
Needs an Xray to decide
Detailed Answer:
Hi there.
Thanks for the query.
Usually a fracture at that region can take upto 6 weeks to heal.
Am Xray is needed to look for signs of healing to decide how long you need to be in the boot, or whether it can be taken off.
Minimal pain at the fracture site could indicts possible healing. Do keep the limb elevated.
I hope I have answered your query
