What Causes Pain In Outer Area Of The Foot After An Injury?
I was wondering, I hit my right foot (the round protruding part on the outer area, Looking at the foot anatomy, I m assuming it s the fibula) hard on a car door last August 18, I thought at first that maybe I hit a vein because the pain was strong at that time, the thing is I don t even know how to identify if it s the foot or just some muscles that s hurting, but it s been more than a month and that certain area still feels sore(gives very slight pain) when I touch it. Should I be concerned? If so, what kind of doctor should I go to? I never really go to doctors so I have no idea...

Hi, Please consult a orthopedician in your area, get your X-ray done, apply ice pack, apply Diclofenac gel and take over the counter painkillers. Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further. Regards, Dr. Jaideep Gaver, Orthopedic Surgeon
