Suggest Treatment For Flat Warts Around The Eyes

default
Posted on Tue, 7 Jul 2015
Question: Dear Doctor,
I am having many brown flat warts around my eyes and many skin colored Filiform warts around my neck. One big Filiform wart is protruding on my left cheek and becoming big day by day for the last 1 year.
When I consulted the skin specialist, he suggested for liquid nitrogen treatment but I hesitant to go for it as it may leave scars on my face and neck.
Please suggest any treatment/medicine that I can use at home.

Thanks,
XXXX

Brief Answer:
I suggest either Radiofrequency Or CO2 Laser

Detailed Answer:
Hello. Thank you for writing to us.

I have gone through your query and i have understood your concern

Liquid nitrogen freezing is usually avoided on face and neck because it can lead to postinflammatory hypopigmentation which can be permanent.

The best method to get rid of these growths on skin would be either Radiofrequency cautery ablation Or CO 2 Laser vaporization. In expert hands, scaring is not an issue with these procedures. I suggest that you inquire about these procedures from your treating dermatologist.

Unfortunately, no safe home remedy available to get rid of these.

Regards
