Question : flu treatment for allergic patients
Brief Answer:
Flu treatment is symptomatic.
Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Thank you for your query
1.For the flu in an allergic patient, treatment with an antihistamine (such as cetrizine, fexofenadine), an anti inflammatory (such as paracetamol ) with adequate hydration (fluids) and rest should suffice.
2. If there is high fever, an antibiotic, tepid sponging and routine blood tests should be done.
3. After recovering from the flu, allergic testing can be done.
4. Treatment is basically symptomatic. If you can elaborate on the symptoms, I can recommend specific medication.
I hope that I have answered your query. If you have any more questions I will be available to answer them.
Regards.
