No. It is not related to thyroid gland. It may be gastroesofageal reflux. You should do a fibrogastroscopy.

Brief Answer:
Steroid induced gastritis

Detailed Answer:
Hello

Thanks for the query

From the history you have given it looks like you are suffering from gastritis. Here is what you should do

1. Tab omeprazole with domperidone is the ideal tablet for you. It has to be taken once daily before food
2. Avoid milk, milk products and caffeine until you are better
3. avoid spicy and oily food
4. eat on time and at regular intervals. Do not skip meals
5. Do not sleep immediately after dinner, stay upright for 2 hours
5. Do not engage in bending exercises

I hope I was of help, if you have any further queries please get back to me

Hello

Thanks for getting back

Gastric reflux can sometimes present as sore throat, difficulty in swallowing and inflammation of the throat leading to mucous.

Apart from neksium which is a very good drug for gastritis I also recommend that you take an antihistaminic like Levocetrizine to reduce the mucous of the throat.

Detailed Answer:
Hello

Thanks for getting back, I am sorry for the short delay in my reply. I was on call at my hospital.

Here is how should go about your breathlessness

1. Get that endoscopy done, do not get a colonoscopy, it is not required
2. Continue to take Tab Neksium 40 mg, 20 mg is a dose we usually use in pediatrics
3. If endscopy is normal, I would recommend you to approach a Pulmologist for the breathlessness to rule out asthma

The best medicine for gastritis is Neksium. We sometimes use it twice daily as well.
