Suggest Treatment For Hair Fall And Dandruff

Question: Hair Fall leading to the fall in the density of the hair on the top center of head.
And also I having dandruff for which I amd using anti dandruff shampoo. Please let me know how to control the hair fall and get rid of the dandruff. My travel time would be approx 90-120 min per day.

Thanks for your query at healthcaremagic.

Firstly I will explain the basics of dandruff. It is caused by a micro-organism called mallasezia furfur. It is just an overgrowth of this micro-organism that is otherwise normally present on skin. It may overgrow for many reasons including low immunity and use of medicines on scalp. Thus I will recommend that you do not use any medicated products on scalp including anti-dandruff shampoo.

When we use anti-dandruff shampoo. dandruff clears for sometime and mostly returns. In this process of clearing and returning, it loosens the hair and hair fall may happen.

I also suggest that you get some basic tests done like hemoglobin, thyroid profile, liver function tests, etc.

Meanwhile you can try biotin capsules once a day. These are vitamins and do not have side effects.

Mild shampoo likes MILDY or TRICLENZ can be tried.

You should also take diet rich in protein like pulses and chana. Take sound sleep of 7-8 hours.
