Question : Hi ive been bleeding heavily, soaking my pad every 20mins, passing clots as big as my hand for over 10days. My GP prescribed norethisterone and tranexamic acid. This has slowed the flow but im still bleeding. Also the blood smells really bad.
Brief Answer:
continue the same
Detailed Answer:
Dear member,
Thanks for writing.
Continue tranexamic acid thrice a day and norethisterone thrice a day.
After the bleeding stops you can discontinue the tranexamic acid but you have to continue the norethisterone.
Take tablet ofloxacin 200 mg twice a day and metrogyl 400 mg thrice a day. This will decrease the foul smell due to infection.
If it still persists then consider getting a vaginal examination and infection screen .
Please write back if you have any questions.
Thanks
