Brief Answer:
Medication is needed.

Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Thanks for writing your query.
After reading your post, I would suggest that you can take Atorvastatin 10 mg at night after discussing with your doctor. It, along with dietary and lifestyle changes, will gradually improve your dyslipidemia.
I hope this is helpful to you. If you have any further query, I will be happy to help.
Regards. Thanks.

Thanks for the reply Dr RA XXXXXXX What is the difference between Rosuvastatin and Atorvastatin? Which one will be better in my case? Do we need to have it after meals or before?

Brief Answer:
More information is needed.

Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Thanks for your response.
Both Atorvastatin and Rosuvastatin are helpful in treating dyslipidemia.
Both have some or the other side effects. For telling which among the two is better for you, some more information is needed like your Liver Function Test and your sugar levels along with a clinical evaluation by your treating doctor as he is the best judge to decide which compound will suit you the most.
You have to take it after dinner.
I hope this answers your query.
Regards.

Thank you Dr RA XXXXXXX Just two last questions. With the dietary control, exercise and one 20mg Rosuvastatin a day, how much chances do I have to get back to normal levels in 10 days? And should I be doing anything more than what I am doing to get back to normal that fast?
I understand that these are quite ambiguous questions, for which you would require more inputs, however, I just want to know the possibility.
Regards and thanks.

Brief Answer:
In 10 days...cannot say how much dyslipidemia will improve.

Detailed Answer:
Hi,
It is not possible to tell how much your readings of your lipid profile will change in 10 days with the medicine and lifestyle changes.
Medicine along with dietary and lifestyle changes are sufficient for treating your problem.
I hope this answers your query.
Regards.
