As your friend is having constant temperature,non-productive cough, chills,lethargic and body ache associated with sweating.

All this symptom is going towards some kind of infection, like URTI (upper respiratory tract infection) or LRTI (lower respiratory tract infection).
There is also possibility of some viral or protozoal infection.

So at this time infection status has to be confirmed by doing some relevant blood investigations.

In my opinion kindly take your friend to a near by hospital to get this investigation done and find out the cause of it.

As you can see that 4 to 5 different disease have similar symptoms so at this time blood investigation will be helpful, that will be done in hospital only and your friend will have to be stabilized by antibiotics, intravenous fluid,and anti pyretic (fever lowering) medicines.
