Some possible next steps to rule out and find out your problem.
Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Thank you for using Healthcaremagic to post your health query.
I read carefully your question and I understand your concern.
You have come out with a couple of possible diagnoses that could explain your problem. Good job.
So here are my thoughts:
- Burping and indigestion symptoms can be a problem of stomach which can be a gastritis or a ulcer. The best way to know that is by doing a fibrogastroscopy. If you want to treat the symptoms and start treating the ulcer/gastritis I would recommend using Omeprazole 20mg, or Lansoprazole 15 mg, or Esomeprazole 40mg, once/day for 2 weeks. If better, continue it for 8 weeks. If not better, then it is a bowel problem.
- Is the fatigue from anemia. It is very rare in a man because men does not lose blood every month. But doing a CBC (complete blood count) would confirm it. If you have anemia, the most important thing is to rule out where from are you losing the blood. The most possible site is from the bowel. So doing stool for occult blood and a colonoscopy (if you haven't done one in the last 10 years) will rule out a problem there.
- Another possible cause of fatigue is a thyroid problem. Consider doing a TSH. It is rare in men though, so the above diagnoses are more possible.
Hope this is helpful.
Let me know if you need more clarifications.

Dr. Papaqako
