Suggest Treatment For Inflammation And Soreness On Glans Penis

Several months ago I applied a small amount of Locobase Repair on my penis glans, thinking it might feel better after feeling a bit sore after a masturbation, and feeling confident this cream wouldn't do any harm. A short while later I suddenly felt a bit wet in my pants, so I removed the cream.
It was later I noticed the glans had become smaller, and more smooth/slippery. I queried healthcaremagic about this at the time and was told it should slowly regain its size. However, it has not. Its colour is more red-ish. I always felt it was more blue than red before. Sometimes I feel some minor stinging, soreness in the area. I was wondering if I could have lost an important layer?
The only incident I could think of prior to this was 15 years ago when I had some glans skin peeled off, after I had pressed underneath the head to avoid premature ejaculations. This I regret doing, but it was 15 years ago, and apart from causing me some pain at the time and some skin peeling off later, hasn't bothered me since.
Is there anything I could do to regain the size? Attaching a picture with foreskin pulled back.
I won't risk it getting worse though.
I have lichen sclerosis near the string on the backside of the penis, which can flare up if I don't keep the area dry, but otherwise is no problem.
Possibility of Irritant Dermatitis
Detailed Answer:
Hello and welcome to healthcaremagic
I am Dr. Kakkar. I have gone through your query and I have understood it
As far as the size of glans is concerned, I would say that it is absolutely normal. So you can just forget about it and move on!!
Regarding the color being more red than before and some stinging, soreness over the glans, i could relate this type of presentation to few of my patients who practice over enthusiastic hygiene of the delicate skin of glans e.g repeated washing with soaps, using either dettol or savlon for cleansing etc thus leading on to an irritant dermatitis which confuses both the patient as well as the clinician, as to what is the real cause?? without realising that the overaggressive hygiene that they practice is itself the cause.
General measures:
-Avoid soaps or body wash to clean the delicate skin of foreskin and glans. Instead you can use just plain water for gentle cleansing.
Specific treatment:
-If i was your treating doctor i would have advised you to apply a mild to moderately potent topical steroid like beclomethasone twice daily for 7 days, preferably in combination with topical antifungal like clotrimazole. Combining antifungal with steroid would make sense because candida can cause superimposed infection over the already irritated skin.
Hope this helps
Regards
