Suggest Treatment For Insect Bite On Left Ankle

Question : I had a small area that I thought resembled a bug bite, possibly a flea or mosquito. It itched and then turned into a blister. This was located just below my left ankle. I now have the same thing that is occurring just below my right ankle. This has happened about 2 weeks apart. My shoes do not rub on these locations. I do not take any medication. What could this be?

Hi again
I have had a look at the picture you sent
Now I agree with you that at the first look ,it does look like the bite of an insect.
However I have also noticed, though the picture is relatively of small area to comment accurately, that there is a lot of venous prominence.
I therefore feel that there is a strong possibility that there may be a chance of varicose veins and this may be a the beginning of what may develop as a venous ulcer.
A doppler study would be suggestible to confirm the varicose veins
Meanwhile a steroidal and antifungal cream may help you.
Compression stockings may help with varicose veins
