Question: I have rapid elimination immediately after eating. Is there any pill that I can take to stop this. I take Immodium, which is limited in its effectiveness. My doctor said that I should get an occomy surgery. I( don't want to wear a bag for the rest of my life.

Brief Answer:
a diagnosis is required...

Detailed Answer:
Hello,

has your doctor reached a diagnosis? Why is this happening to you?

The two most common causes of this condition are the irritable bowel syndrome (IBS) and inflammatory bowel diseases (IBD). In the aforementioned conditions - sometimes - the bowel becomes overactive and may expel its contents fast after eating.

The approach to the treatment of the IBS and the IBD is different. The IBS is usually treated by avoiding certain foods which may aggravate the symptoms and by using various agents which modulate bowel motility like mebeverine or otilonium. There are various treatments for the IBD, including medicinal and surgical options. The choice depends on the extent and severity of symptoms. A colonoscopy would be required for a more accurate and detailed evaluation of your bowel's condition. If you've done one already then please upload the report (and the biopsy report too).

Kind Regards!
