Question : My 21 year old ate crab legs about 3 hours ago. She now has swollen itchy fave and nose, and yellow pus in her eye. She just took 2 Benadryl. Should she go to ER? No previous reaction to shell fish. Thank you
Brief Answer:
Please take her to ER immediately
Detailed Answer:
Hi XXXX,
Thanks for writing in to us.
I have read through your query in detail.
Your daughter might have had an acute allergic reaction to intake of crab legs. Its important to take her to the ER immediately and have her put on observation for a while. The Benadryl might have helped to control the symptoms. Its important to recognize and respiratory distress or swelling in the airways at the earliest and treat it.
Hope your query is answered.
