Question : I have some itchy areas and i don't know if these are spider bites or poison ivy.
When it started, I just thought it was a mosquito bite but it has gotten larger with some other spots adjacent to it. I've had this since last Wednesday

Brief Answer:
Allergic contact dermatitis.

Detailed Answer:
Thanks for asking on HealthcareMagic.

I have gone through the description and have checked the attached images. Although it does not seem to be due to poison ivy, it could be due to allergic reaction to some other substance which includes various types of insect bites. Even in case of a spider bite, similar allergic component is present. Since, a few days have already passed in between, irrespective of the cause, all that is left to be done is:
* Application of some emollient like aloe vera, or soothing agent like calamine lotion
* Intake of some antiallergic like cetirizine once daily for a few days.
* If the condition worsens or symptoms like respiratory distress or fever occur, you would need to visit a doctor and get yourself evaluated.

I would not grow too concerned. Take some antiallergic and apply some emollient like aloe and it should gradually heal up in another few days.

Regards
