Brief Answer:
probably will not help

Detailed Answer:
Hello and thank you for your question.
The doxycycline probably will not help. Laryngitis is not usually caused by bacterial infections so the doxycycline will probably not help get rid of your symptoms.
It is most often caused by viral infection, smoking or reflux. If you smoke it would be good for you to try and quit. If you have heartburn then a medication for that such as omeprazole may help. If it is from overuse of the voice (singers get it sometimes) then resting the voice could help. Staying well hydrated, taking vitamin C and a multivitamin daily can help your throat recover.

If you have high fever or shortness of breath you should be seen right away.

I hope you are feeling better soon,
