Brief Answer:
Reports are normal.

Detailed Answer:
Hi Ms XXXXXXX

Thank you for gettig back.

I do remember your father's case. I have noted your father's blood test reports.

They are normal. Low TSH is due to the fact that it is not being produced by the pituitary gland because of disease/surgery. Normal T3 and T4 levels mean that the dose of thyroid supplement is right.

I hope my reply has helped you.

I would be pleased to answer, if you have any follow up queries or if you require any further information.

hi sir,

If he is suffering from hyerthroidism why hypothyronom is given?

He is alright but didnt get the vision in left eye yet. How long we need to wait. There is no need to worry right?

Brief Answer:
He is suffering from hypothyroidism.

Detailed Answer:
Thank you for getting back.

He is suffering from hypothyroidism and not hyperthyroidism. This is because the pituitary gland got damaged either due to tumor or the surgery. Pituitary gland produces the TSH- thyroid stimulating hormone. TSH is low because of pituitary gland damage and hence, thyroid hormone levels get lowered. This is being corrected with thyroid hormone supplements.

Regarding improvement in vision, the chances are low, however, we need to wait for upto two years.

Best wishes,

Dr Sudhir Kumar MD DM (Neurology)
