Suggest Treatment For Low Grade Viral Pneumonia
Question: My dr told me recently that I have low grade viral pneumonia......what exactly is that and what is the treatment? Is is contagious?A chest X-ray was done....some density showed and 2 days later a chest cat scan was done, both resulting with the "low grade viral pneumonia" diag.

Antibiotics are recommended to prevent secondary bacterial infection. Warm salt water gargling and steam inhalation are helpful. Nebulization if difficulty in breathing present. Medications to reduce fever and expectorant syrup to clear secretions in chest.
