Question : I woke up with a lump in my armpit, very tender and red, about the size of a large pimple (5 mm). When I squeeze it a clear liquid comes out. It follows with the skin when I touch it. What could it be? Can lymph nodes release liquid like that?

Brief Answer:
Looks hidradenitis, take proper care as explained.

Detailed Answer:
Hi.
Thanks for your query, an elucidate history and the very clear picture.

This looks to be a condition called hidradenitis, occurs only in the armpits, oozes clear liquid on squeezing.

This is not a lymph node as it is always very deep and does not ooze clear liquid like this.

I would advise you to continue with cleaning with antibacterial, preferably Liquid Povidone Iodine 2 to 4 times a day.
Keep the dry.
Avoid soaps.
Take a course of an antibiotic and anti-inflammatory under the prescription of your Doctor. This is necessary to control the present infection and to avoid spread locally and can become recurrent if not treated properly to start with. (this looks small to begin with).

I hope this answer helps you, please feel free to ask for further queries if you need to or if you feel that there is a gap of communication.
