Brief Answer: Lymph node. Detailed Answer: Hello! Thank you for the query. From your description you have palpated a lymph node. As it is palpable, it may be enlarged a little. Lymph nodes usually get enlarged due to inflammation in the close area. It can be infection in the arm or hand area, breast infection. Sometimes, enlarged lymph nodes do appear because of cancer (breast cancer precisely). That is why it is necessary to do not ignore such symptoms. Cancerous lymph nodes are usually hard, not-movable, painless and have uneven surface. Non-cancerous lymph nodes are soft, can be painful and are movable. First thing you should do is breast and armpit ultrasound. Blood work (to see WBC level) is also necessary. In case of enlarged lymph nodes, biopsy should be done. In case of breast lump, breast biopsy is necessary. Hope this will help. Feel free to ask further questions. Regards.
