Brief Answer:
Causes can be other than due to dental problem..

Detailed Answer:
Hi..
Welcome to HEALTHCARE MAGIC..

I have gone through your query and can understand your concern..

As per your complain lump over the jaw can be due to a number of reasons and most common ones are dental abscess and related to infected teeth..

In case if it is just under jaw line it can be due to swollen Salivary Glands or swollen lymph nodes..

These are common causes..

But in your case if any dental cause is not diagnosed other causes can be Hair follicle Infection or Folliculitis or it can be a Sebaceous Cyst..

You did not experience any pain when it was lanced as there was anaesthetic injection given..

Nothing to worry as there is no pain but you should take a short course of antibiotics to prevent infection as well as cure any infection if present..
Apply TRIPLE ANTIBIOTIC Ointment after cleaning the area with betadine solution..
Ibuprofen can be taken in case of pain and inflammation..

If possible please send me the scan of the x Ray that was taken and also the image of the lesion so that I can guide you better..

Any further questions are welcome..

Hope this information helps..

Thanks and regards..
Dr.Honey Nandwani Arora..
