Brief Answer:
Lymphnode

Detailed Answer:
Thank you for contacting HCM with your health care concerns

You have noticed a hard lump just above the thyroid gland which coincides with an abscessed tooth. More than likely the two are linked. The abscessed tooth is an infection and to help fight that infection your body is making white blood cells, The location of the production of those white blood cells is the lymph nodes. So the lump is that enlarged lymph node trying to fight the infection. Once you get the tooth looked at and taken care of then the lymph node will return to normal size.

You can't do anything to make the lymph node improve until the tooth is healed.
