Brief Answer:
Its a neuropathy

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

Thank you for posting the question.

The pain that you have been experiencing, usually occurs due to 2 reasons.

1. Muscular spasm with inflammation- The muscles around the neck, shoulder and arm may be inflammed and may be in a spasm.
This causes pain and restricted movements of the concerned joints.

2.Nerve compression- One of the spinal nerves in the vertebral column may be compressed or inflammed causing this kind of pain.Usually a slipped disc is responsible for such nerve compressions.

If the muscle relaxant tablets that you have been taking have not helped you, then in my opinion, you should get a Xray / MRI of the neck and shoulder done.

Physiotherapy, exercises, cervical traction, application of analgesic gels locally will be helpful.

Methycobalamin and pregabalin tablets along with analgesic tablets like tramadol, diclofenac etc will help alleviate pain.

I hope the answer was useful.

Feel free to consult me anytime for follow up questions.

Thank you.
Wish you a speedy recovery.
