Brief Answer:
chronic chikungunya arthritis

Detailed Answer:
hello,
this is well known after chikungunya fever.
arthralgias may persist and sometimes it may be XXXXXXX arthritis.
It is suggested to check for antibodies for rheumatoid arthritis- rheumatoid factor and Anti CCP.
also markers for inflammation like ESR and CRP should be checked.
the options are to take a short course of glucocorticoids or take disease modifying anti rheumatic drugs.
However this can be best gauged by a rheumatologist.
So it would be best to consult a rheumatologist, who after examining the joints can advise you proper medication.

Thanks a lot Doctor,

Can you name some test to measure "antibodies for rheumatoid arthritis- rheumatoid factor and Anti CCP" & "markers for inflammation like ESR and CRP should be checked"? I can upload my reports here.

Also, can I start "short course of glucocorticoids or take disease modifying anti rheumatic drugs" without above test mentioned by you? If yes, please let me know the name of Drugs or brief about "short course of glucocorticoids ".

Chronic chikungunya arthritis

Detailed Answer:
hi
the tests are available by the same names.
It is not possible to prescribe drugs on this forum.
It will be better to consult a physician or a rheumatologist.
thanks

Hi Mam,

I already consulted a physician and he gave me vitamin and painkiller tablets. It didn't helped much. Could you please suggest a good rheumatologist in Indirapuram, XXXXXXX area so that I can go for consultation today? I am very much depressed with my situation now as it is causing inefficiency in my work and also I am in fear that it can lead to permanent arthritis if not treated on time.

Brief Answer:
Treatment with DMARDs

Detailed Answer:
Welcome back,

The treatment remains short course steroids and hydroxy chloroquine after proper prescription by your treating doctor.
CRP is slightly high, probably due to arthritis.
This is the standard treatment.

Take Care
