Question : my right lung for the past two months has felt so tight and I have no idea why?! I'm so scared and have bad anxiety. I was diagnosed with pulmonary hypertension with a pressure of 32. its in the right side of my throat and it feels like its tightening too. I sometimes lay in bed because I'm so scared and depressed I'm going to die from it. I'm only 31 with no history of any heart disease in my family. Ever since I was diagnosed 2 years ago I have been so scared and lived with Anxiety. my doc and cardiologist never put me on anything but lexapro and xanax as needed. when I lay down my lung us fine but wjhem I get up and move it feels like there's someone squeezing my lung.

Brief Answer:
Need few details

Detailed Answer:
Hello dear, thanks for your question on HCM.

I advice you to avoid stress and tension. First of all be relax and calm.

I can understand your situation and problem.
I want to ask you few questions first.
1. Have you ever consulted pulmonologist?
2. Have you ever undergone PFT (pulmonary function test)?
3. Have you ever undergone CT pulmonary angiography?

You are having mild pulmonary hypertension. And in young age (31 years) pulmonary hypertension is seen commonly due to underlying lung pathology.
Lung pathology can be either obstructive (asthma or bronchitis) or restrictive in nature.
Another rare cause is pulmonary embolism (PE).
So PFT is needed to rule out lung pathology.
CT pulmonary angiography is needed to rule out PE.
Your chest tightness can be due to anxiety and stress. It is also seen in untreated asthma.
So better to consult pulmonologist and discuss all these.

Reply me answers of above mentioned questions,so that I can guide you better.
I will be happy to help you further.
Wish you good health.
Thanks.
