Suggest Treatment For Minor Seizures When Diagnosed With An Inoperable Brain Tumor

default
Posted on Mon, 8 Feb 2016
Question: I have an inoperable brain tumor. Since my biopsy 21/2 years ago I get a minor seizure every 4-6 weeks.
My doctor has me on 400 milligrams ( 2 100 milligrams tablets in the morning and 2 at bedtime.)
Is there any natural remedy that I can take without the side affects of Dilantin. Also it is the extended version.

Brief Answer:
Medical marijuana could help you.

Detailed Answer:
Hello and thanks for using HCM.

I have read your query and understand your concerns.

Use of medical marijuana in controlling seizures isn't well studied because of the restrictions to this drug.

Medical reports in some cases suggest that use of medical marijuana in controlling seizures could be helpful and without side effects (only side effects related to smoking).

Epidiolex, a drug derived from cannabidiol ( one of the components of cannabis ) is used in few patients with seizures that aren't controlled by other medications with good results (approximately 60% of patients improved).

In my opinion, if it is accessible and not against the local law, you could try medical marijuana to control seizures since they happen rarely and are minor ones.

Use of medical marijuana could help you with anxiety caused by knowing that you have an inoperable brain tumor too ( if you feel that way ).

Other natural remedies to control seizures include herbs (skullcap, valerian, lily of the valley, tree of heaven), acupuncture, biofeedback, but with no exact scientific support.

Hope you found the answer helpful.

Let me know if I can assist you further.

Greetings.
