                                            Question : Hi I am a 56 year old female who has multiple sclerosis and has chronic bladder infections no control bladder or bowels and have had two bladder infections back to back and now they did a culture and found inner caucus in my urine and are saying that Vancomycin is the only antibiotic that will clear this up I do have a PICC line in my arm but I'm scared to use the bank because I don't want to build up a resistance to it but I've only used it one time back in 2015 what should I do

You have UTI with organisms being sensitive to Vancomycin and feared of developing resistance to Vancomycin.
In a given situation the priority is to eradicate infection which if left untreated may land you in severe septicemia and other complications .Do not anticipate or fear that you will develop resistance to Vancomycin .Take Vancomycin suggested by your treating physician .
