Posted on Tue, 30 Dec 2014
Question: Hi, my baby is 8 months old. She has slight cold and nasal block.have been using naso clear, t-minic and at times nasivion XXXXXXX
Yesterday doctor had suggested mucolite drops also. One dose is given yesterday. From today morning mucus release is there from nose as well as eye. There is too much pus formed in eye and that too very frequently. I would like to know if it is because of mucolite or due to any infection.

Brief Answer:
Mucus release from eye is because of block in drainage pathway

Detailed Answer:
Hi XXXX,
Thanks for the query.

I have read your query and understand your concern.

Mucus release from eye is because of block in drainage pathway of tear opening inside of nose due to infection in tear sac .

If I were your treating Doctor for this case , I would advice you
continue naso clear, t-minic or solvin cold drop & mucolite drops .
Don't use nasivion XXXXXXX more than 7 days .

Hope this information helpful to you .If you have any further questions I will be happy to help.
Regards.

Thank you for answering my question. I had stopped mucolite after the first dosage due to the mucus release. Now It has reduced. However eyes are always watery. As per your suggestion I will continue mucolite.
how long does the mucus release happens usually?.. How can I clean the eye well? Should I consult the doctor again?
