Never had Dx of Bronchitis. In this episode, 2 family members have had official Dx and are on Levaquin.
Question is: What does this sound like? Will Antibiotics be necessary?
You are most probably having URTI going into LRTI.
Detailed Answer:
Hi XXXXXXX
Thanks for the query.
I have read your query , reviewed medications and understand your concern.
In my opinion , after reading your clinical history it appears that you are most probably having upper respiratory tract infection (URTI) going into lower respiratory track infection(LRTI) .
Associated Laryngopharyngeal reflux (LPR) worsening your condition .
If I were your treating Doctor for this case , I would advice you
investigation like X ray chest to confirm LRTI .
I would also start antibiotic Levaquin , Antiseptic Mouth Wash twice daily &
Saline nasal spray thrice daily .
Continue other medication . Try to stop excess medication after consulting your specialist .
Hope this information helpful to you .If you have any further questions I will be happy to help.
Regards.
Azithromycin once daily will be good with less side effect .
