Brief Answer:
GERD, you need to do upper endoscopy...

Detailed Answer:
Hi
I read carefully your query and I understood your concerns.

You are reporting to have pain in middle back that relieve after burping, this is typical clinic for GERD.

The feeling that you have in your throat is due to acid secretion that comes ,reflux from stomach.

So If I were your treating doctor I would recommend to do upper endoscopy to evaluate esophagus and stomach .

Still that I recommend to change your lifestyle like :
-avoid coffee, chocolate, tea, carbonated drinks, smoking, alcohol, spicy foods
- you should eat small and often meals
- don't lay down immediately after meal
- increase your physical activity
- try to loose weight if you are over weight
-use two pillows were you lay down

You can start to use antacids and PPi like omeprazole or pantoprazole.

If you have other concerns I would be glad to assist you further.
