Posted on Wed, 1 Feb 2017
Question: Low abdomen pain where bladder and ovaries are located. Lately darker colored feces. I thought I had pulled a muscle in lower abdomen but symptoms have lasted and sometimes more painful. Frequent urination as well. Should I go to doctor or just see if it continues after drinking lots of water. No fever or back pain..

Brief Answer:
as explained in details.

Detailed Answer:
Hi.
Noted the history and understood your concerns.
To recapitulate: Female/51 - pain in lower abdomen where the bladder an ovaries are located - worse when you first stand up - no fever - no backache - darker colored feces - thought about pulled lower abdominal muscle - but the symptoms have lasted and sometimes more painful - frequent urination - drinking water and use heating pad - take Aspirin or Tylenol only if necessary - wants to know whether to go to a Doctor or if it continues after drinking lots of water...

You have got few symptoms like frequency of urination, pain in lower abdomen, darker feces.
I would advise you the following in such a situation:
Get the tests of urine: Routine, microscopy, culture and sensitivity.
Tests of stool.
Tests of blood.
Ultrasonography and X-ray of the abdomen to see the changes and get an idea of what we are dealing with.
Clinical evaluation, actual examination of the abdomen and per-vaginal examination by a Gynecologist would help further to get an appropriate diagnosis and a plan for further management.
