Brief Answer:
keep a record of your symptoms and inform to your doctor

Detailed Answer:
Dear XXXX, welcome to hcm and thanks for choosing us for your health related queries.

In my opinion it is some thickened muscle fibre. Other possibility is thickened blood vessel(vascular arteritis). Or could be some nerve disturbance. You need to visit a doctor for proper assessment of your condition and diagnosis. You may require to under go some blood test, biopsy of the affected tissue or a x ray.

However for better outcome from doctor's visit you need to do following
1 record your symptoms in detail like frequency, timings(time of day), severity of symptoms
2 any associated symptoms like headache, dizziness, palpitation, nausea
3 record of your drug intake specially flonase
4 discuss with your friend too about his experiences at clinic
5 any family history of chronic disease

Information to your doctor about these things in detail on 28th, you will be able to get a diagnosis and finally treatment.

I hope my reply will benefit you. Please write to us for follow up queries or any other guidance. I wish you good health. Kindly provide a feedback on this reply. Thanks

Thanks for your response--the VA has already diagnosed a 69% carotid blockage on that lt. side-- possibly VA won't do anything abt. the carotid until we are over 80%--Also, going to watch the coffee intake as well--thanks LV

Brief Answer:
yes, you are true. reduced coffee intake should help you

Detailed Answer:
Dear XXXX, welcome again and thanks for the feedback. Yes, you are true, 80% blockage in carotid requires urgent intervention, may be stenting of artery. 80% blockage in carotid can lead to ischaemic attack to brain. However 69% blockage can be responsible for the pain you have now. Reduction in coffee intake will certainly help you.

I wish you good health. Please feel free to contact us for follow up queries.
