Suggest Treatment For Panic Attacks And Shortness Of Breath

Question: I'm a 42 year old female, non smoker who is seemingly healthy but the last few weeks have had trouble breathing. It feels like I'm trying to breathe in a steam room all the time. A few times a day I feel a little flash like I'm having a panic attack where I have sweaty palms and my heart beats fast and hard but it goes away but the feeling I can get a good breath continues. His has now been happening for 3 days straight. I'm on vacation, do I go to the ER or wait until next week to see a doctor?
Brief Answer:
Consult ER department
Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Thanks for writing to us.
You have symptoms of panic attack and hose are also frequent and wih sudden onset. Considering you did not have history of such symptoms in past, you should go to ER department for evaluation of cause related to heart or lung. Investigations like EKG and Chest x ray needed after proper physical examination.
If all examinations and investigations come normal , psychological evaulaion will be needed.
So you should not wait for doctor's appointment.
Hope I have answered your query,I would like to help further if more queries.
