Question : My urologist suggests I have a treatment for persistant bladder leakage called percutaneus tibial nerve stimulation. Botox is the agent used. All drugs I've been prescribed have caused allergic reactions.
What is your opinion of this use of Botox and the treatment which will consist of several visits?

I have gone through your query and understand your concerns. I feel that Botox would be a good alternative to try. It would help in obtaining the right tone of the muscles of the bladder and/or pelvis. I would not expect any major side effects. The limitation of this treatment is that the duration of action would be limited and your would need to continue to take periodic injections as long as you want the relief.
