Brief Answer:
mild respiratory virus vs possible flu

Detailed Answer:
Thank you for contacting HCM with your health care concerns.

I am sorry to hear that you have had an upper respiratory infection. It could have been just a cold or a flu. The green sputum is a possible sign of bronchitis. I recommend that you monitor your cough and if it gets worse and you continue to cough up green sputum you may need to see a medical provider. If it worsens to a bronchitis then you will need an antibiotic. But if the cough lessens and you get better then it was only a virus.

In reference to your cycles. For some women who are very sensitive with their cycles a cold or infection may delay the onset. If you have a history of delayed cycles then you may be late a few days. Most women though will start normally despite an infection .
