Question: I have had a sore throat for a week and I am losing my voice.

You should also know that I have Mitochondrial Miopathy and RA

This is common after having what is called pharyngitis

Detailed Answer:
Welcome to HCM. Sorry to hear that you are losing your voice, however this is a common occurrence, and the voice will come back, no need to worry too much about it.
It is basically your vocal cords that got inflamed. Voice rest and warm salt water gargles should reduce this inflammation and get it back. IF this does not help it is time to go back to your Primary care doctor.
