Question: I am a 50 year old woman. I have breast pain and hardness. I am offen felling like I have vertigo and I am excessively thirsty. Should I be worried? I am sure I am not pregnant because of age and I just had my period

Brief Answer:
When was the last time you did your mammography?

Detailed Answer:
Hi and thank you so much for this query.

I am so sorry to hear about these symptoms that you have listed. I will like to know when the last mammography was. With excessive thirst, I will also like to know whether you pee a lot or not. Also, have you ever had a blood glucose test done? For sure it is not pregnancy but we need the above information to narrow down on the possible causes.

I hope to hear from you and promise to respond promptly. Until then, I wish you well.

Thanks for you quick response. I do not seem to be peeing more... Maybe 4 times a day. I resently got life insurance .. About a year ago. That blood test came back so clean that I got the best of the best rating. Not sure if they tested glucose but I think they did
Sorry to say I have not been to the doctors for more than 16 years! I have always been super health. Good weight workout almost everyday. Eat health never smoked and have no family history of anything except diabetes but everyone is very over weight and smoke
My breasts fee like when I was pregnant hard and painful. What does a mammogram test for? And would the problem effect both?

Brief Answer:
Both affected is more suggestive of hormonal canges!

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

Mammogram are recommended for women to allow for early diagnosis of breast disorders. Please, talk to your doctor and get at least one done. However, a problem which touches both breasts is for sure more related to hormonal changes than local disease conditions.

I hope this helps. I wish you well. Keep me updated!
