Question : A family member has a brain aneurysm and a blood clot pressing on the spinal cord. She is paralyzed front the neck down and is not able to breath on her own. She is not stable enough to have surgery to dislodge the clot. What other treatments are available for her?

I have gone through your query and understand your concern. Unfortunately anything other than surgery would not help. Medical treatments like mannitol may alleviate symptoms only slightly.
