Thank you for your detailed response.I have experienced this issue for approximately 15 years.I have been cleared of temporal/giant cell arteritis as well as the other conditions mentioned in my previous email.I do not experience any nausea, dizziness, vision issues or otherwise when the artery is prominent.I maintain regular sleep cycles 8 hours per night and my diet is balanced including fruit, vegetables, meat, pasta and plenty of water.I avoid spicy, oily foods.I drink 6 cups of coffee a day (mild strength) but I doubt this could be a factor as the artery can become prominent many hours after consuming coffee. As stated in my first email, heat and stress are the main triggers. Are there any factors which may be worth considering based on the information provided?

Hi,Dear Thanks for the updates on my leads.

PRE-CAUTIONS for you-
After reviewing all the query I would advise you to take following pre-cautions-
As your lifestyle with high coffee intake seems to be the MAIN cause of the hyperdynamic Circulation with high tension personality,

Control the diet with less oils and with less salt

Check your BP records with your Physician 2 times a month even if its normal,as you are a high risk by the past history.

you need to reduce your coffee intake drastically but slowly and

Brisk Walk for 30 minutes daily

Reduce on your weight by 5 kg atleast to 75 kg and then to 71 kg

Do deep breathing exercise and
attend to clinical psychologist for counselling to reduce your hot headedness if any,if need be.

ALERTS in your case-though ASYMPTOMATIC now-
Though you have been cleared for hyper dynamic circulation factors including anemia, hypertension, hyperthyroidism and cardiac illness and possibility of the Giant Cell Arteritis and
Though your are still quite Young and Asymptomatic , you appear to be high risk case and need to be on ALERT and to investigate the your case with Vascular and NeuroSurgeon by

MRI study of brain and Cranial(Extra-Cranial and Intra-Cranial )Arterial anatomy to study any aneurysmal arterial saccules / or to study any intra-cranial pressure increasing lesions(benign or malignant)

CRP-(C Reactive protein)for keeping watch on auto-immune arterial disease-Giant Cell Arteritis with cardiac high risk factors,

As submitted by you, confirm if you have got Biopsy done for the Temporal arteritis to rule out the Giant Cell Arteritis and

do follow up tests with cover of Vascular and Neuro-Surgeon,if you get symptomatic Temporal artery problem any time in future.

If still you don't get relief, ask a direct review question to Me at HCM.

Hello, thank you for such an informative reply.I have one final question regarding caffeine. You have suggested this may be the primary cause of this issue. How does caffeine impact the circulation short term (within hours) as opposed to the longer term (days, weeks)?

Detailed Answer:
Final Diagnosis-Rt Temporal Arterial Prominence(Asymptomatic)with High Coffee intake
HI,Dear Thanks for your appreciating reply from You.
Dear you, with tons of efforts at your clinics, this was a missing diagnosis.
With this You should be most relieved person especially with annoying Temporal Arterial prominence.

How coffee causes increased hyperdynamic loads in cardiovascular system-
Coffee with its caffein, theophylline and theobromine, is well known stimulant with its hyperdynamic actions on the cardio-vascular systems, besides its central stimulant actions.
Physiologically Coffee acts by its sympathomimetic stimulating actions on the Nervous Systems and thereby affects cardio-vascular systems and is a known cause for high Bp in many.

In habitual coffee drinkers like you, there are other factors as life style stress, which needs to be studied in your case in the next session,as its a specials subject in itself.
Herein above I tried to indicate alerts and cautions that need to be taken in your case. And I think these important suggestions would help you a lot to go a long way in improving the annoying problem you have now.
